Dear friends of Footprint, we're thrilled to introduce our new newsletter! This platform will serve as a convenient and engaging way to keep you updated on our latest product developments.

A couple of promises: these will not be sales emails (unless you want to book a demo, in which case, respond!). We will not spam you constantly. Once a month, we will send a short email with the top new features we have launched, and every quarter, we will highlight how one of our customers uses Footprint in interesting ways.

Rules Engine Backtesting

This topic continued to arise in our customer conversations. With most onboarding and fraud tools, it is impossible to see how rule changes will impact future applicants. We're changing that. In the future, whenever you consider adding or changing a rule, you can automatically backtest it to see how it would have impacted past results.

Request Onboarding to Specific Playbooks

At Footprint, we believe that onboarding should be progressive. There are times when you want to limit friction as much as possible and times when you want to require additional information to prevent bad actors. We have built the entire platform around that premise and make it super easy to request additional information, either dynamically at the time of onboarding, through our embedded components, or via SMS. You can now require customers to re-onboard to a specific playbook right from our dashboard.

Duplicate Users

Fraudsters are clever, but they tend to be lazy. We have seen that they often mix and match pieces of an identity to onboard to platforms multiple times. Not anymore! We recently released a feature that lets you quickly see if any user's information is related to multiple accounts.

Upcoming Features

Get ready for an exciting ride! We have some thrilling updates lined up for the next couple of months at Footprint. While we can't reveal everything just yet, here are a few teasers.

  1. Compliance Automation—There has been a lot of news coming out of the BaaS space lately. Footprint is uniquely situated to help on all sides, and we cannot wait to launch our compliance toolset in the coming months.

  2. Additional Data - whether you are interested in someone's driving history, credit score, or employment status, we are determined to make Footprint the one-stop shop for collecting and verifying all necessary customer information.

  3. Components - KYC as a backend tool can only be so helpful. That is why we have focused on building frontend components to collect, verify, and vault information in real-time (while running behavioral biometrics). We understand that some customers want total UI control, so we are launching components. Onboarding Components take all the magic within the Footprint embedded onboarding and expose them as individual web/React components you can embed, fully stylize, and control inside your product.
