Hello, friends of Footprint!

It was great seeing many of you last month at our Series A party. Although NYC was toasty, we kept it very cool :)

We wanted to share updates from the Footprint world over the last month.

Custom Documents

Verifying identity is one thing. It is an essential thing, a thing we do very well, and a thing we care deeply about. But often, it is just one piece of a user that companies would like verified. We were having conversations with companies who wanted the ability to verify W2s, Utility Bills, Bank Statements, you name it. To tackle all of these, we have launched the ability to collect custom documents. Through our dashboard, you can request any PDF document that meets your heart's desires, and we will run tamper detection on it to streamline the verification process.

Compliance Automation

With all of the news coming out of the BaaS world, some fintech "thought leaders" are predicting the end of the ecosystem. We disagree but recognize that the entire ecosystem must take steps to make it easier for banks, fintechs, and regulators to work together to protect the end customers. We are very excited to be launching our compliance automation platform. With Footprint, banks can log in and get a granular view of their fintech partners and end users. In one place, they can analyze the onboarding process, view audit logs, request marketing materials and other reports, and dive into individual-level detail. Unsurprisingly, we are huge fans of fintech and are excited to help make the entire sector more secure, compliant, and simple for all parties involved.

KYB Insights

We spent a lot of time bolstering our KYB capabilities this last month. While similar, KYB is a different beast than KYC. There are no data bureaus to cross-check PII, and businesses aren't issued a driver's license. To help our customers confidently onboard businesses, we launched new insights that include the ability to see how we have verified business information, pull Secretary of State filings directly from state databases, and have a street view of the company's primary address.

Full Team Offsite

If you follow us on LinkedIn, you know we had our fifth offsite the other week in NYC. If you don't follow us, now would be a good time to start!

We had a blast getting the team together, brainstorming ideas, eating too much steak, and cruising around Soho. We are now all back home, but Eli, Peter, Mike, and Amanda are still in our NYC office. If you are close, stop by for a coffee!
